Hurricane Tomas - Updates for early Wednesday

Those who are still seeking people that they really need to check on should contact the Red Cross 1 758 452 5582 / 453 0400 - they will take all details and carry out searching and contacting as part of their efforts.

For those who wish to read, I wrote a little post for Sabi and Eugenia of Livity Art Studio
Happy if people can contribute their memories

Generators are needed - Soufriere Fishermans Co-op - they have gas, no generator...and others also need

Barre de l'Isle road is ONLY OPEN FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES - it'll be a few days yet before any more access

Ok - Hearing that the road to Canaries is motorable
the road from Soufriere towards the south (Choiseul-VF) is open
I hear un-official hopes that the Barre de l'Isle should be open later today
Please keep in mind that these roads will still be dangerous to drive, so go if absolutely necessary and drive carefully.

Many citizen relief efforts are starting to be co-ordinated - you can 'Like' this FB page:

Those of you in St. Lucia - collection points for Dry Foods, Canned Foods, Clothing, Water and Pampers are being set up at supermarkets in the North and I'm sure will extend further into Castries today - but you can also just collect goods and take to the Red Cross.

My neice Richelle is telling me she saw a group called "Teens for Tomas" on FB and they will be collecting donations also at Rodney Bay Marina today from 8 am. Here's their FB page address - just click 'ask to join group' it is open :
